She debuted in cinema of moral anxiety and afterwards played the dramatic role of Mira Szajnert – Antonina Dziwisz’s cellmate in Bugajski’s famous Przesłuchanie/Interrogation. Her specialty is not politics however, but psychology and her roles fail to be unambiguously characterised. They are all full of grace and class – among them you can find a ‘company woman’, aware of her own worth and successful as in Koniec gry /Game is over and Dzieci i ryby/Children and fish, a small-town woman with attitude in Futro/Fur Coat, as well as a lost woman from the country blossoming under the influence of an affection. But it is the fine role of the accountant full of insecurities in Michał Kwieciński’s Statyści/Extras for which she received both the supporting role award at the Gdynia Film Festival and the Orzeł Film Award.
Recently she shone again in the role of the hero’s mother in Janusz Morgenstern’s Mniejsze zło/Lesser evil and playing alongside Janusz Gajos, she created a complicated, unusual and surprising character.
