Dorota Stalińska
Her first bigger role was in Agnieszka Holland’s Niedzielne dzieci/Sunday Children, but she shone brightly in the films of Barbara Sass, with whom she paired up in an extremely creative duo. Portraying a young journalist who will do anything to get what she wants in Bez miłości/Without Love, an ambitious architect in Debiutantka/The Debutante, a criminal, who tries to change her life for love in Krzyk/The Scream – all of these characters have the face and strength of Dorota Stalińska.
There’s also a surprising role in her acting career, considering her usual roles of modern women fighting for their place in the world – the character of Hanka Ordonówna in a biographical story Miłość ci wszystko wybaczy [‘Love Forgives All’].
Known also for her passion for sports and charity work, after splitting with Sass she has not appeared on-screen often, usually now playing in monodramas she directs herself.
