About the film
Henryk Bielecki is a type of strong man, seeking fame and wealth at all costs.
He goes so far as to murder a writer, which allows him to publish books written by the murdered man under his own name and gain publicity. Meeting the beautiful, extremely subtle Nina Ligęza, wife of a landowner, causes a breakthrough in his life. Under her influence, he is reborn morally and realises the wickedness of his conduct and the misery of his past life. She helps him become a truly a strong man, possessed of strength of character. Not wanting to cause more harm to others and unable to find a place for himself in the world, he commits suicide.
The film is relatively well-made and edited, with appropriate suspense and an interesting set design.
