About the film

A pessimistic, gloomy study of the criminal milieu, combining para-documentary observations with a fast-paced crime story; filled with powerful scenes and clear-cut criminal characters.

Stanisław Czermień, an ex-convict, is stopped by the police in connection with the rape and murder of a young girl. An airtight alibi ensures his freedom, but he realises that his brother, Witek, who has no criminal record, is involved in the crime. Using his knowledge of the criminal milieu, Czermień conducts a private investigation and traces a gang of human traffickers − led by Matusiak and Kunz.

In a den, he finds Witek and Elżbieta, a juvenile who has run away from home. Searching for his fugitive brother, he visits a man named Sitko, who is a customer of Kunz. The man gives him the address of the contact. Hidden in the gang’s suburban hideout, where orgies were organised, Czermień discovers that Witek brings young girls there and Elżbieta is to be the next one. Terrorising the bandits, he rescues his brother and the girl, but Witek rejects his suggestion to go to the police and escapes, leaving Stanisław alone with the bandits.
